Pacific Islands Laboratory Capabilities Index (PILCI)
The Pacific Islands Laboratory Capability (or Capabilities) Index is a centralised, web-based directory of laboratory services and support infrastructure across the Pacific region.
It is designed to be a searchable resource that lists laboratories, their capabilities, and related service providers, allowing users to easily find where specific testing, calibration, training, or technical services are available.

The Pacific Islands Laboratory Capability Index (PILCI) was established following a regional needs assessment of Pacific laboratories conducted in 2022 under the Pacific Quality Infrastructure Initiative (PQII). This work was led by the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in partnership with the National Measurement Institute.

The Index would compile information such as:
Laboratory capabilities (types of testing, equipment, limits of reporting)
Accreditation status (e.g. ISO/IEC 17025)
Pricing and turnaround times
Available services (testing, calibration, subcontracting)
Supporting infrastructure (training providers, proficiency testing, reference materials, calibration services)
