The AOAC South Pacific Section is a regional community of analytical scientists dedicated to improving method development, validation, and measurement quality in food, agriculture, and related fields. As part of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, we serve as a hub for collaboration, professional development, and knowledge sharing across the South West Pacific. Through workshops, seminars, and partnerships with laboratories, academia, government, and industry, we work to elevate analytical capability, support public health, and strengthen confidence in measurement systems essential to global trade.

Our Mission

The AOAC South Pacific Chapter advances excellence in analytical science by fostering collaboration, strengthening technical expertise, and promoting high-quality methods and measurements across the region. We support AOAC INTERNATIONAL’s mission by creating a dynamic regional forum where scientists, laboratories, and institutions can address emerging analytical needs in food, agriculture, and related fields.

We focus on expanding knowledge through seminars, workshops, and professional development; strengthening communication within the analytical community; engaging new partners across the South West Pacific; and building cooperative relationships with academia, government, and industry. Through these efforts, we work to elevate method development, validation, and the reliability of analytical results that protect public health and support global trade.
